Ernest M. A. Machado (1868-1907) was an American architect who practiced in Salem, Massachusetts. He was particularly known for the design of country houses. Though based in Salem, he developed a practice which worked as far away as Ottawa.
Life and career
[edit]Machado attended the public schools of Salem and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 1890. For four years after his graduation he worked for Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge, followed by another three for Winslow & Wetherell.
