JGMcCurdy is John Gilbert McCurdy of Ypsilanti, Michigan.

I am an assistant professor at in the Department of History and Philosophy at Eastern Michigan University. My areas of specialization are colonial American history, the American Revolution, and issues of gender and sexuality.

I received my Ph.D. in history from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004. I also hold an M.A. from Washington University (2000), an M.A. in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from Knox College.
