Joshua Cork, born September 9, 1991, is a High School Student from Defiance, Missouri, USA. He is Fifteen Years old and enjoys the Drum Set, Baseball, and reading.

Early Life

Joshua was born three weeks later than his predicted [birthday]]. He weighed Eight pounds, Six ounces. During his early years Joshua was an extremely fast learner, beginning to read Elementary school books at age two. Joshua started Pre-school at age three and started Elementary school at age Four and a half. He started playing the Violin at age six. In Kindergarten, Joshua was reccommended to take part in the Francis Howell School District's new gifted education program, Spectra. He took a basic IQ test and recieved a score of 137. He was admitted into the gifted education program, and is still enrolled today.

During Junior High School, Joshua's social network increased in size, especially with fellow musicians and music lovers. Joshua transitioned from the Violin to the Alto Saxophone in sixth grade. In seventh grade, he moved up to the slightly larger Tenor Saxophone, which he played until grade eight.

High School

During the Summer Vacation between Eighth and Ninth grades, Joshua purchased a Drum Set, made by Tama. He took nicely to the drum set, and over the summer he learned a lot of things about it. Starting in High School, Joshua took lessons from Kevin Bowers, a local drummer who is well known in the St. Louis area, Missouri. Joshua also joined the Winter Drumline/Colorguard program at Francis Howell High School, and made the Snare Drum line. His Technique, Control, and Strength has increased exponentially because of this.
