Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) provides transportation planning and engineering, land planning and development and environmental services.[1] Based in Watertown, Massachusetts, the company employs more than 1,300 in 23 offices along the U.S. East Coast. It is the 70th largest design firm in the United States according to the annual Engineering News-Record ranking of the Top 500 design firms.[2]
The firm was founded in 1978 by Robert Vanasse, Richard Hangen and Robert Brustlin. Michael J. Carragher is the current president and CEO, while Brustlin is the chairman and last remaining founder active with the firm.
Projects
[edit]The firm's projects include the Norwottuck Rail Trail Bridge, Russia Wharf, the South Coast Rail, Dutch Island Light, the Dulles Toll Road on Virginia State Route 267, and the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York City.
