Trevor Brazile - 7-Time PRCA All-Around World Champion Rodeo’s record books say Trevor Brazile is the best ever. And at 33, he’s far from the end of his rope.
In 2007, Brazile won rodeo’s rare Triple Crown with gold all-around, tiedown roping and steer roping buckles, becoming only the 10th cowboy ever to accomplish that feat and the first since his friend and neighbor Roy Cooper got it done in 1983. Other names on that legendary list include iconic cowboy greats Bill Linderman, Casey Tibbs and Jim Shoulders.
With earnings of $425,115 and $419,868, respectively in 2007 and 2008, Brazile delivered a one-two record punch for the most money won in a rodeo season. He’s also the guy who’s won more at a single rodeo than anyone else in history, with $149,099 at the 2008 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
In 2009, Trevor tied roughstock sensation Ty Murray for the most world all-around championships of all time at seven. In addition, he owns two world steer roping titles (2006-07) and two gold buckles in the tiedown roping dated 2007 and ’09.
Brazile, whose ProRodeo career earnings are closing in on $3.5 million, is the winningest rodeo cowboy ever. He has the distinction of having qualified for the National Finals in four disciplines—heading, heeling, tiedown roping and steer roping. Brazile has qualified for the NFR 11 straight years in the tiedown roping, and is a seven-time NFR team roper. He won the NFR team roping average with Patrick Smith in 2008. He’s roped at the last 13 consecutive National Finals Steer Ropings.
Brazile lives in Decatur, Texas, with his wife, Shada, and son, Treston and daughter Stella.
