I spent most of my childhood living in Lexington, Kentucky until a move in 1987 to Anchorage, Alaska. I lived with my family in Anchorage until 1989, however those 2 short years sparked a passion for aviation. Upon returning to Kentucky, I took up playing the Trumpet. Upon reaching high school in 1991, I entered into the Lafayette Generals Marching Band (aka - Pride of the Bluegrass). It was really the only way I could further my study of music, however it wasn't all bad. I was fortunate enough to be apart of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with the band and win 4 State Marching Band Titles (Apart of a streak which lasted from 1990-2003). Upon graduating I decided I wanted to further my passion for aviation and enrolled at ERAU in Daytona Beach, Florida. I received my Masters in 2003 and I currently work for Comair. In my spare time through out the years, I've managed become proficient at several things, including the German and Russian languages and several programming languages including the mastery of SQL. I also have continued my interest in music, still playing my trumpet and having taken up guitar as of 2004. I recently started learning Arabic thanks to several friends, since I am always willing to learn new languages.
I am a die-hard UK fan, especially Basketball. I am currently a season ticket holder for both Basketball and Football. I have very strong ties to the University through past alums and I donate annually to the University. I would have attended UK had I not choosen to pursue my career in aviation. My office is in a Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet or CRJ for short, specifically the -200 series. For those of you who have never the chance to experience the CRJ-200, I can summarize it in two words: Giddy up!
