Postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University Medical Centre (the Netherlands) working on cellular senescence in cancer formation and tissue degeneration. I hold a PhD from Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam on facial cartilage reconstruction through tissue engineering using adult stem cells.
Thus, a bit of knowledge in these fields as well as general cell biology, biochemistry and clinical research.
Otherwise interested in architectural movements, history of the fertile crescent, medieval urban planning and modern industrial design. I also spend hours reading biographies of historic figures and scientists, and am especially enamoured with the life and works of biologist Jean-Baptiste Chevalier de Lamarck.
When I read Wikipedia articles and coincidentally notice an issue, I flag it or suggest small corrections. I try to follow the editing guidelines, but because I only very infrequently edit Wikipedia and struggle to familiarise myself with the editor interface and Wikipedia user jargon, I might make mistakes.
