I am currently an MA student in sociocultural anthropology at the University of Kansas. I am interested generally in the adolescent girl experience in various contexts, specifically focusing on the challenges of gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health access. My experience is in rural Guatemala where I have studied, lived and worked with various NGOs. I speak Kaqchikel Maya as well as Spanish.
I will be working on a biographical entry for June Nash as part of an assignment for ANTH701: History of Anthropology for the Fall 2012 term.
