Aiden Schofield is a pop singer/songwriter born in England on 10 April 1970 and grew up, honing his craft in a suburb of Sydney Australia and now resides in Cleveland Ohio, USA.
Early Life
[edit]Born in Manchester, England then emigrating to Australia, Aiden picked up a guitar at 14 and never looked back. Writing songs and performing live wherever he could, he became the primary songwriter for the Australian indie bands Josh, who won the 1995 Australian National Triple M Radio Homegrown Competition, and Cupboard. In 2007, now living in the USA, he decided to embark on a solo career producing 3 albums so far.
Music
[edit]Aiden's Self Titled 2007 album received many glowing reviews from fans, critics and other artists alike. New Melodies said: "Give it up for Aiden. Few independent artists are able to pull off mainstream pop while keeping the purity and essence of being indie. Aiden is such a case."
Growing lyrically and musically, in 2008 came The Illusion of Perfection. With his sweet vocals and smooth backing tracks which he produces himself, the album was critically praised. Hitting Number 1 on England's Fab Chart with 7up and Number 1 on the Indiependence.net pop chart with She's Out Of Reach.
For his third effort Damage, he introduced more electric guitar and some fine songwriting. Again hitting Number 1 on England's Fab Chart with That's Where The Money Went.
Aiden has songs featured in the 2009 movie Off The Ledge including She's Out Of Reach.
