Jean-Paul Vanitegem is an Electrical Engineer who works as a Hardware/Software Engineer at NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips Semiconductors).
He was born in The Netherlands in 1966, studied at Fontys and Eindhoven University of Technology.
After a short stint (17 months) as a Software engineer at BSO Tasking (8051 compilers) he joined Philips Semiconductors in The Netherlands in August 1995. In March 1997 he moved to Silicon Valley to join the MIPS processor team in Philips Semiconductors there, where he became the lead hardware design engineer.
From 2001 to 2007 he was the lead hardware design engineer for the TriMedia Mediaprocessor and from 2007 till 2010 he worked as a Software engineer for the TriMedia Mediaprocessor.
Now he moved on to a new job away from TriMedia.
