Issa Malluf is an American-Palestinian percussionist and composer specializing in middle-eastern and arabic percussion. Malluf is known for his accompaniments with oud musician Rahim AlHaj.
Career
[edit]Issa Malluf's career blossomed with the meeting of Grammy Award winning oud musician Rahim AlHaj whom he met in 2008 and regularly performs with. He is also known for percussion compositions and performances with Eastern European, Turkish and Balkan inspired band Hawk and a Hacksaw.
His repertoire also consists of recordings on Rahim Alhaj's album Little Earth, alongside guitarist Peter Buck of R.E.M.[1] and is also featured on the album Cervantine by Hawk and a Hacksaw[2].
