About Me

[edit]

I'm an athelete and rc car racer in the PNW. I grew up here and have allways loved the scenery. I play on my highschool softball team, and have played since I was 9. I also enjoy playing other sports for fun and watching them on the TV. I have been racing remote controll cars for a little less than a year. I race locally at DieHard RC and am on the Drive Like A Girl Team and help build all the tracks. I like being a rolemodle to other girls who race, and am hoping to get more girls into the hobby.

My Wikipedia Interests

[edit]

I was assigned to make a Wikipedia account by my english proffessor. But I think that this is a great website and could see myself using it long term. I would like to use it to write about rc cars, as well as womens roles in the sports industry. I know alot about my two favorite hobbys, rc car racing and softball. I hope to share my knowledge to others. Looking at the softball page I realized some things I didn't know about the sport and I would like to show others things they didnt know about there hobbys.

Article Evaluation

[edit]

One of my favorite singers for the past year at least, is Zach Bryan. I enjoy not only listening to his voice but the lyrics he writes. Unlike other singers, he writes all of his songs. And I admire that, it's a very impressive thing to do. I have listened to all of his songs so many times that the lyrics are memorized. And personally I don’t think he has written and recorded a bad song. With this in mind I wanted to learn more about my favorite singer. I visited the Zach Bryan Wikipedia page and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: citations, structure, and completeness.

Citations

[edit]

This article was cited well. Every statement that needed a source had one. At the bottom of the article there were 43 references. There was one external link which is Zach Bryan’s official website. This may not be the best site to get information about his personal life, but it shows concert dates and his merchandise. Which are some viable things any true fan would need to know. Each word that had its own Wikipedia page was linked as well.

Structure

[edit]

I noticed that this article had a very good structure. I believe that it flowed well, and that the correct information was in a good location. It was smart to start with his early life as the first paragraph then move into his career as a singer/songwriter. The musical career section was about 6 paragraphs and was very up to date. I know it was up to date because it talks about his newest album that was released Christmas Day of 2022. I liked that the author had a discography section. I think that it was a smart idea for it to be in a table instead of just listing all the songs in the albums.

Completeness

[edit]

For the most part I believe that this article is complete, as well as mostly up to date. It was complete in every section except the last section: Personal Life. I think that the author should have dug deeper to get more information on his personal life. Or if there weren't any sources with that information then state that in the article. And even though there is one sentence in that section, it’s not up to date anyways. I don't think that it is good to give readers false information and that's what happened with the incompleteness of the Personal Life section of this article.

Conclusion

[edit]

All in all, I would rate this page as “good”. It had some key components but not all of them. It lacked completeness towards the end and I as a reader don't think that was a good idea. The piece needed to be strong from beginning to the end.
