NetSfere is a cloud-based messaging service that serves as a secure platform for internal enterprise communications. Only the sender and the recipient can read the content of encrypted messages sent via NetSfere.[1]

Parent company Infinite Convergence, a subsidiary of Infinite Computer Solutions, developed NetSfere. In creating the NetSfere offering, Infinite Convergence leveraged its expertise in developing scalable enterprise messaging solutions for large companies like Western Union[2], as well as its carrier-grade SMSC offerings, which process over 1 trillion messages annually for over 130 million global subscribers.[3]. In addition, NetSfere's code base is based in part on technology the company acquired from Motorola in 2010.[4]

NetSfere protects companies from a potential cybersecurity breach in which proprietary data and systems are compromised by hackers who get access to employees' unencrypted instant messages and chat sessions.[5] Security features include message encryption, device-to-device encryption via elliptical key exchange[4] and full administrative control of all accounts and devices.[6] If an employee's device is lost or stolen, the NetSfere administrator can remotely wipe all historical data from the application.[7]

A NetSfere user that uses multiple devices can use any of them to send messages, receive messages and access prior conversations.[8]. NetSfere's secure messaging solution is available for use on Android devices, iOS devices (including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch), desktops (Mac or PC) and on tablets or other devices with a mobile web browser.[9]

In addition to standard messaging content, other important business information, such as images or files, can be attached to NetSfere messages.[10] Message delivery is highly reliable, based on NetSfere's ability to send and receive messages via multiple means, including IP Push, MMS and SMS.[11]

NetSfere is focused on a number of niche industries[12], including healthcare, legal, finance, banking, insurance, travel, hospitality, supply chain and retail.

In the highly-regulated financial services market, NetSfere provides full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Dodd-Frank, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) regulations, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) guidelines.[4] A 2015 study by NetSfere found that 50 percent of financial institution employees use mobile messaging daily, yet 38 percent of employers do not have an official platform for enterprise messaging. In hospitals, doctors and nurses can use NetSfere to collaborate with their colleagues, thus protecting against confirmation biases that can lead to an incorrect diagnosis or a neglected potential medical solution.[14] NetSfere meets governmnent-mandated HIPAA compliance requirements.CITATION!!! Market research commissioned by NetSfere in October 2015[15] suggests that most healthcare institutions are currently not using HIPAA-compliant messaging solutions and instead are using consumer messaging apps such as GChat, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

In addition to its direct sales, NetSfere has enlisted various channel partners, including Dimension Data in the Asia Pacific region[16].

With respect to competition, NetSfere participates in the larger unified communications market, which includes large companies like Google, Microsoft and Cisco[17], as well as a number of smaller messaging solutions providers.
