Greenwell Matongo Shabeens

There has been a loot of talk about Shabeens in Namibia of late esppecially those found in Evelyne Street of Greenwell Matongo. In 2010 the City of windhoek said they would not issue any license to new shabeens until April 0f 2011 because of the number and demand ^[1].

Legislators are also conerned about the operation of shabeen. In an article in the New Era they said they were not happy with rules governing the closure of shabeens ^[2].
