Gully Gang (English: Gully Gang) is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by debutant director Vinay Tambireddy and Produced by Sameer Datta Under the Banner of Movie Bees Media. It stars most of the debutants Sameer Datta, Shivanya Mehrara and Sudiksha Jah and Jenny (actor) played a special Character. The film is produced by Movie Bees Media on a low budget. T. Surendra Reddy was the Show runner of the movie. The film was one of the most successful Telugu films in 2020. The Deccan Chronicle wrote an article "Gully Gang is a rustic love story".[1]

Plot

Movie opens with a scene of a young man named Srinu, who stands in front of the train which is coming very fast towards him; he can sense his Death is very near to him.

    When the movie goes into the background story of Srinu, it starts in a village called Peddampet. Srinu’s friends were 9 Gang. One of the guys called Malli, who is in deep love with a girl, gives a free suggestion to Srinu "You should also fall in love". An elder guy named samba from the batch, takes Srinu to a love doctor named Prem ji for getting trained in how to love a girl. Srinu listens to half of the subject and tells Prem ji that he understood everything. 
    Going to college on the bus Srinu sees three girls and smiles at them who are walking on the road. Three girls’ smiles back. Srinu decides that he should love all of them.
    Other day Srinu tries to impress the three girls inside the bus. All of sudden four guys who belong to the girl’s village, beats Srinu and warns. Srinu feels very bad, and he joins karate classes to take revenge on them. While learning karate in a state of dilemma, Srinu kicks his karate master. The master beats Srinu with all his karate kicks. 
    Srinu decides that he will not love anyone from here onwards.
    But Samba took Srinu again to love Doctor Prem ji and console him.  
    Srinu has a habit of boarding a running bus, that day also he tries to board the running bus but accidentally slips. Sandhya Catches his hand and saves him. Srinu starts loving Sandhya from that day. All his friends in the gang feel happy that Srinu is in love with Sandhya. Friends make him hurry on proposing his love to her.
    Srinu goes to Sandhya’s college and sees her in the college ground and tries to meet her.  Sandhya walks away from Srinu because of the public place, but Srinu walks fast towards her and catches her hand, Sandhya gets frightened and says “Brother please leave my hand “. Srinu feels very disappointed and depressed.
    His friend’s gang tells him that “You must feel very sad for the girl called you brother. Then only she will realize and definitely call you lover “.
     Srinu fails in acting sadness and tries to promise his friends that "I will never love anyone in my life again". Same time a boy comes to him and says “Oh my brother a girl came to your house “. Immediately Srinu changes his mind, leaves his friends and hurriedly goes to his home with the boy on his cycle. Srinu's friends were awe-struck on seeing Srinu’s behavior. 
    Srinu thinks that the girl will be very beautiful, but he gets disappointed that the girl who is talking to his mom looks like an aunty. Yet he tells himself, what happens if she is aged, I’ll try to love her. Her name is Sampangi. And this time also Srinu’s luck plays a foul game with him, Sampangi loves Srinu’s brother Shekar. 
     With all the disappointments in the name of love, Srinu decides to keep the “Love” topic aside in his life. He transformed into an angry man. 
    Srinu and Yadav join Degree College. Srinu fights with his senior students in college for no ragging should be done in college and gets noticed and named as a rowdy of the college day one itself.  
    Murali and his sister-in-law Kumari also join the same college and they are from Srinu's neighboring village.
    Gopal joins the college, likes Kumari very much. Once Gopal tries to misbehave with Kumari, Srinu beats Gopal and saves Kumari. Gopal who is hurt with this incident goes to Kumari’s father and complains that both Srinu and Kumari are in love with each other.  Kumari’s father gets angry and scolds her and makes her not go to college.
   Srinu escapes Kumari from her home on the day of her engagement. But Murali takes Kumari from Srinu. Srinu gets shocked... Then suddenly from nowhere a person comes on bike. Kumari leaves Murali and she Joins with Biker, both Srinu and Murali get shocked.
     Off all the failures in love and life, Srinu decides to die by taking his own life by standing in front of a speeding train.

Reception

Gully Gang movie was not released in theatres due to pandemic situation. But the Telugu version was streamed grandly in airtel extreme. After that the Hindi Dub version was streaming successfully with 1.3 million views on YouTube through @surmoviesexclusive, while the Telugu version was streamed by AR Entertainments and got successful views. A V Club.com wrote an article "Gully Gang 2020"[2]. Mondelmehabub review of Gully Gang, "An Innocent Love story"[3]. Telangana Today wrote "Sameer Datta, Vinay to debut with 'Gully Gang'". [4]. ragalahari.com wrote a News "Cinematographer T Surendra Reddy's sons as hero, director with 'Gully Gang'”."[5]
