Feel free to add to and improve the following "rough draft" in any way you can. I will then add the final version to the article.
From its original location in Wadi Hadhramaut, the Hadhramaut kingdom's dominion stretched from as far east to Dhofar (in what is now Oman) to as far north to Al Abr in the Empty Quarter (Rub al Khali). The kingdom's capital and largest city, Shabwa, was located in what is now...
The Hadhramaut Kingdom, like other ancient Yemeni Kingdoms flourished from the incense trade. It also profited immensely to the sale of ollibanum, which was highly prized, expensive and sought-after as it was used in important ceremonies and sometimes used in medical procedures. It was a vassal of the Sabaean dynasty, which was the most powerful.
The port of Qana had an important role in contributing to the prosperity of the kingdom. Ships of gold, spices, and silk sailed across the Indian Ocean.
Like other ancient Yemenite kingdoms, Hadhramaut declined due to the Christian ban of incense, and once active trade routes was no longer of use. Hadramaut kingdom eventually fell; it was absorbed into the Himyarite Kingdom in the end of the 3rd century CE.
