[edit]Greater India
[edit]This is right now, and probably will always be, the longest reading list I will ever make. India is just too big and diverse. In the future I plan on breaking up that list into smaller ones. For example:
- General India stuff, including info about Aryans, Dravidians, Persians, etc., and ancient history
- Topics that cover large regions (like South India, North-Central India, etc.
- Some of the religions might need their own list pages. Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism for sure, but not sure about the others.
- Individual states/regions, going in-depth about them
- Should I expand this to include Burma and Persia? Maybe that would make the list too big...
- Should I eliminate Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan, and include them with something else (like Central Asia)?
- What about diasporas of the people here? Bengalis are the second largest ethnic group in the world (after Han Chinese, before Russians and Germans). Other groups also have pretty substantial numbers and presence overseas. Countries like Guyana and Singapore are made up of very large numbers of Indians.
- Maybe about regional politics, national and state boundaries, and issues relating to them
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
