THE FRAME TILT.


PANTOSOPIC TILT:

Is the dsitance of a spectacle frame from the face at angle. The lower spectacle eyewire rim tilt toward the the cheeks is called the Pantoscopic tilt. It is needed to ensure balance fitting to enable patients rotate eyes from distance prescription portion to the near -reading porton ,withoit difficulty.Is the lens tilt about the horizontal axis ,with respect to primary gaze of a subject. In simole trems ,it can be explained as "The rotation of lens bottom towards the cheeks" ranging from 0-12° .

RETROSCOPIC TILT:

Is the accurate angle rotation measurement of the upper eyewire away from the eye brows.
