Career
[edit]Followed by a modelling career appearing in campaigns and catwalk shows for Prada, Gucci, BMW, K-Swiss and Calvin Klein, he joined the world of finance, working for companies such as Ernst & Young and Sal. Oppenheim in Switzerland, and the Merrill Lynch M&A Investment Banking group in London specialising on the Consumer & Retail sector, advising publicly listed fashion houses. Stefan used the gained experience to launch the NOT JUST A LABEL (“NJAL”) project, based on an idea he had with his brother Daniel, a computer science expert. They launched the company on a shoestring in 2008. NJAL today represents over 6,000 emerging fashion designers from 88 countries.[1]
