Lebanese Mafia
The Lebanese mafia, is a criminal syndicate made up of ethnic Lebanese. History of the Lebanese mob traces back to the 19th century, but the true rise of this syndicate goes back to 1975. 1975 was the start of the Lebanese civil war. The Lebanese economy was inflated, corruption was nationwide, poverty was growing each day. These Lebanese men turned to a life of crime. After the start of the Lebanese civil war, many families sent their sons to countries abroad. Lebanese immigrants arrived in the thousands to Brazil, United States, France, England, Italy, Australia, Nigeria, Sierra Leon, Burkina Faso, and many more countries.
The organization is primarily involved in smuggling, arms trafficking, drug trafficking, cigarette contraband, protection rackets and illegal gambling. Just like the Italian Mafia, to become a member of the Lebanese mafia, both your parents have to be of Lebanese full blood and they will have to trace your ancestors back to Lebanon. Several authorities have tried to pin offenses on members of this organization but unfortunately have not been able to. The ethnic Lebanese OC groups are organized in the horizontal manner and higher-ranked members are not necessarily coordinated by any leader. The Lebanese mafia just like The Albanian Mafia are known to be very secretive of their activities, they operate very carefully, and it is very difficult to become an associate, due to the fact that they do not accept anyone who is not of Lebanese pure blood, even as just an associate.
Very little is know about their activities, but according to several Interpol authorities, and various crime syndicates, the Lebanese mafia is one of the most well structured crime organizations in the world. They operate globally, and according to a leader of a Serbian Mafia clan, the Lebanese mafia is one of the most ruthless in the world.
