During the four years I've been here, around a half dozen non-Christian users with persecution complexes have accused me of religious zealotry the second they found out (... or just assumed) I am a Christian. I've decided to keep a log of my negative interactions with Christians on this site, and select actions taken to defend religions other than Christianity (other than general removal of vandalism on articles concerning non-Christian subjects, which is pretty common for me). The purpose of this list is to show that, no, I'm not religiously biased, I don't care what religion or lack thereof you follow, I just hate everybody and have a strong desire to crush your work for stupid reasons like not following the site's arbitrary guidelines, that I totally make up just to mess with you.
Status: OK, I've only gone as far back as March (when I started dating someone who drastically decreased my activity on this site), and I'm getting tired. I also stopped actually going through my contributions somewhere around the beginning of June, and just started going through my edits to talk pages to track down incidences I could remember. I will update this as incidences come along, and when I have more time I will search some more through my contributions, trying to at least make it to the beginning of this year. Know what? I've got enough, but I will keep updating as more incidences come along, just for fun. I've also decided that I will not include anything I do to maintain the Pat Robertson controversies article (hadn't included any instances of that yet, but could have), because I am doing that because I am a Baptist and he makes it hard for me to say that to people.
- Here I undo an edit equating the Bible with only Christianity.
- Here I restore information on other faith's denial of the divinity of Jesus.
- Here and here I restore information on Islam's view of Jesus (which is quite different from Christianity's).
- Here I remove stuff affirming the divinity and messiah-hood of Jesus.
- Here I remove a Sunday school lesson and prayer from a page.
- Here I remove a forum-like talk page post asking people to come to Christ.
- Here I revert the addition of stuff I happen to completely agree with because it didn't have a source and had some POV concerns.
- Here I revert a Christian editor I completely agreed with.
- Here and here, I argue against and revert an editor who tried to argue that Christianity wasn't influenced by Zoroastrianism.
- Here I restore information on Yahweh being derived from the Canaanite El, instead of being the transcendent being I worship and do believe was worshiped by the ancient Israelites.
- Here I again revert an assertion contrary to secular authories, based on the user's interpretation of the Bible as a primary source.
- Here, here, and here, I restore "Christianity" as Anders Behring Breivik's religious ID, even though he represents the almost the opposite of what I personally believe Christianity to be.
- Here I revert an anti-Islamic edit claiming that Sharia justifies honor killings.
- Here I revert assertions contrary to secular authories, based on the user's interpretation of the Bible as a primary source.
- Here I criticize the classification of the destruction of several Mosques as being inspired by Islam.
- Here I argue against a biased misreading against a source stating that the stories of Abraham are legendary, not historical.
- Here I restore the sourced description of the story of Lucifer as a myth.
- Here I remove an attempt to use the New Testament to describe Jewish beliefs.
- Here I restore the category "Christian terrorism" to the Joseph Kony article.
- Here I assert that the existence of angels is unproven.
- Here I remove some apologetic attempts to counter the possibility of the author of Jude quoting pseudepigraphal scripture.
- Here I remove an attempt to connect Vodou, Satanism, and witchcraft with each other.
- Here I assert that angels are mythical beings.
- Here I imply that Satan should be treated as a literary character. To be fair, that was a bit more reflective of my own views, as my view of the devil is more in line with the Jewish concept of Yetzer hara than Milton's Olympian.
- Here I remove an attempt to "prove" that the Gospel of John was indeed by John.
- Here I disagree with an attempt to list Jesus's religion as "Christian," as it could be Jewish, Buddhist, or Cynic.
- Here, against every Trinitarian bone in my body, I assert that persecution of Mormons should be included in the article on persecution of Christians.
- Here I remove an attempt to assert that Jesus did fulfill Judaism's messianic prophecies, and that Jewish law was laid down by God.
- Here I remove an incendiary rant against Hinduism from that article's talk page.
- Here I remove an attempt to reveal the "truth" about the second coming of Christ.
- Here I remove someone bearing false witness against their Satanist neighbors.
- Here I revert an attempt to turn the Elijah article into a Sunday school lesson (and not a very well studied one at that).
- Here I revert some exegesis in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse article.
- Here and here I revert POV pushing in Christian views on magic and Witchcraft.
- Here I remove a POV statement that was snuck in quite some time ago.
- Here I revert a slanderous addition to the Church of Satan article.
- Here I replace Christian dating (BC) with secular dating (BCE) in the Abraham article.
- Here I restore information suggesting that parts of the Bible borrowed from Mesopotamian polytheism.
- Here I remove some witchcraft bashing that said witches work with the devil, blah blah blah.
- Here, here, here, here, and here I revert mass pov-pushing, generally giving unnecessary equal weight, or blurring the distinction between Dionysius the Areopagite and Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite.
- Here I undo some edits to the Seraph article that unbalanced it towards Christian views on the topic and excluded Jewish ones. Judaism isn't just Christianity without Jesus, they've developed over the past two millenia, thank you.
- Here I remove a literalist's claim that Behemoth was real.
- Here I remove some POV pushing. Even if I also think that the LDS church's teachings are not compatible with Christianity, it is not Wikipedia's job to make sectarian decisions.
- Here I revert someone that apparently thought hearing angels is a reliable source. Could possibly not be a Christian, but statistically...
- Here I remove a Sunday-school lesson from Tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
- Here and here I remove an attempt to promote an as-yet unpublished Christian fantasy book that fails to meet the notability guidlines at any rate.
- Here I revert using the Bible to try to prove that the Scythians were Israelites. May not necessarily be Christian, but usually the only folks pushing for the Scythians being Israelites are folks trying to claim that an Indo-European group with a traditionally Christian population (the British are especially common) are the "real" Israelites.
- Here I remove a dubious inferrence that the Church has always been pretty nice to the Jews.
- Here I remove an addition based on someone's belief that the pyramids have anything to do with the New Jerusalem, using a website that seems to think Hawaii is located in Kenya.
- Here I revert and warn a user for pushing a creationist POV (yes, there are Jewish and Muslim creationists, but statistically, English speaking creationists are most likely Christian, and I've only seen Christians come up with stuff like "Leviathan was a dinosaur.")
- Here and here I deal with a POV pusher in the Jesus article who inserted a picture of the Shroud of Turin insisting it was truly the "Holy Face of Jesus," while pushing for the idea that Jesus was a Black Hebrew and not Jewish (and accused anyone pointing out He was Jewish of being racist and supporters of Zionism, which he called Satanic).
- Here I revert a sunday school lesson and some anti-Masonic paranoia.
- Here and here I warn a user for inserting "A Christian's perspective" into the Jesus article, twice.
- Here and here I revert someone for spamming a Christian site, warning them not to do it anymore.
- Here I tag a Christian music publisher's account for a conflict of interest.
- Here I rebuke a fellow Protestant for pushing her anti-Catholic views on the encyclopedia.
- Here I revert unsourced Christian commentary to the Azazel article, before reverting him here for copyright violation.
- Here I remove Anti-Satanist vandalism on the Satanism article.
- Here (1, 2, 3) are three counts of me removing a link to a blog with accurate information detailing the differences between Gnosticism and orthodox Christianity. The author of the blog appears to be at least as orthodox Christian as I am, and I have been reading some parts of the blog for my own enjoyment. However, as a blog, it doesn't meet the guidelines for inclusion.
- This is me removing some Christian evangelism.
- This is me reverting someone else's insistance that the Bible is historically accurate.
- Here I revert an edit suggesting that part of a tarot card should be interpretted symbolically. I'm a big fan of Arthur Edward Waite, who actually designed the most common tarot card deck today (with the intention that they should be a collection of religious symbols meant to teach, not to predict the future or something like that). The user who made the original edit identified as Christian in his user page.
- Here I insist that we use the secular BCE and CE instead of the Christian-focused BC and AD.
- Here is me undoing an edit that just repeated info in the article, but with the aim of tying it with Jesus, Sunday school style.
- Here I remove a link placed to a site calling for a revival of Biblical fundamentalism (and the Bible is something I wish more Christians would pay attention to) from the Fundamentalist Christianity article because it did not meet the guidelines for external links.
- Here and here are a person (hopping between two IP addresses) whose edits I undid for trying to use "Biblical truth" as a source.
- Here is the sock puppet investigation I filed for a few accounts using a Christian blog as a source in the articles The Beast (Bible), Abomination of Desolation, Number of the Beast and a few others.
- Here is the talk page for someone who created a page for a Jewish-Christian singing group, which I tagged for deletion.
- Here I removed some vandalism that called Satanism idiotic.
- Here I argue for including the Lesser Key of Solomon as a source in Christian Demonology article. That's right, I argued for including a work that was written with the intention of making the Biblical Solomon out as a figure that practiced sorcerery and summoned demons.
- Here I remove the recommendation of a book by Madeleine L'Engle (a Christian author) because it was not a proper source.
- Here I harshly warn a Christian user for trying to use the site for advertising.
- Here I undo an attempt to censor a picture of "The Sigil of Lucifer" in the Lucifer article.
- Here I warn a user for his trash-talking attempt at Christian apologetics from the Lucifer article.
- Here, here, and here I remove linkspam to a Christian blog (actually check out the link before saying the blog wasn't by a Christian).
- Here I remove vandalism that attacks portions of Mormon doctrine concerning race that I too find disgusting.
- Here I am addressed as a 'weak sauce wanna science based false christian wikipedia monitor' who will be pitied when I'm 'brought to know what it means to be a true christian'. You can also see at the top of the page the most interaction I've had with a Satanist. Iotakimadoshi, a theistic Satanist, actually assumed I was a Satanist in hiding because I treated him as I should any neighbor. When he discovered I wasn't, he took to asking me questions about my religion, which I answered in as neutral a manner as possible, basically as if someone else were describing my beliefs. Unusual for a Satanist, Iotakimadoshi tried to convert me on multiple occasions. He later tried to convert others, which is when I finally started to enforce WP:SOAPBOX. At this point, he became paranoid, accusing me of stuff I would show I didn't do. He eventually became frustrated, and left for a few weeks, leaving for good after I responded with his last attempt to convert me by telling him I honestly couldn't care less about Satan, thanks to my then-girlfriend.
