VersionOne Inc. is a provider of software for planning and tracking agile software development projects. VersionOne software is used to coordinate software development project plans, priorities and progress.
History
[edit]VersionOne was originally founded in 2002 by Robert Holler and Rajiv Delwadia. On January 1, 2003, VersionOne launched its project planning and management tool for eXtreme Programming and Scrum, and now supports a series of agile methodologies including DSDM, Agile UP, and Lean / Kanban. VersionOne is based in Atlanta, GA USA with technology and professional services partners worldwide. Customers include Adobe, Dow Chemical, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Novell, Sabre, Siemens, Sony, Symantec and Yahoo!
Products
[edit]VersionOne's product is available in three editions, issued either on-site or on-demand (SaaS): Team, Enterprise, and Ultimate.
VersionOne Team Edition is a free agile project planning and tracking tool for a single, small team who is new to agile development. Team offers story and defect tracking, release and iteration management, and velocity and burn down reporting.
VersionOne Enterprise Edition is a centralized agile collaboration tool for experienced agile teams and organizations managing multiple projects, teams or locations. Enterprise includes all the functions included in Team plus advanced reporting, planning, forecasting, and customization options.
VersionOne Ultimate Edition is designed for organizations that want to deploy agile lifecycle management across customers, managers, product owners, executives, developers, testers and analysts. Ultimate includes all of the functionality included in Enterprise, plus custom reporting and analytics, QA regression test management, and a customer collaboration portal for capturing and prioritizing feature requests.
VersionOne also provides an open web service Java API, a .NET SDK and free tool integration connectors to third-party commercial and open source software development tools including source code management, continuous integration, integrated development environment, test management and defect management. VersionOne provides access to the connector source code so integrations can be customized as needed.
