Breit Scheme is a simple way to derive the term symbols for atoms with two or more equivalent electrons. For two equivalent electrons, there are the same values of quantum numbers n and l, with atleast one of m_l or m_s differing. In this scheme, we write in a table all the values of M_L which can be performed by the combinations of m_l1 and m_l2 of two electrons.
