User:Hurricane Omega
I am a student at Texas A&M University at College Station, TX. I got hooked on Wikipedia during the summer preceding my junior year of high school. I found it while looking up information on Linguistics, specifically dealing with Latin. I think I stumbled on the Latin Wikipedia first. I was shocked to learn that material was still being published in Latin.
In spite of my previously mentioned interest in linguistics, my field of study is meteorology, hence my self bestowed nickname. One of these years we'll get all the way to Hurricane Ω! I even have a little poster/banner/logo thing that I made with MS Word and MS Paint, but I don't know how to upload it.
As you can tell, I am not that eloquent in spite of my classical education (next semester I'll be taking classical Greek for no reason other than enjoyment). When I was writing scholarship letters and papers I could churn out something rather well-formed, but it has been over a year since I have been under the heel of a prescriptive grammarian.
I am a glutton for knowledge of all kinds; this is one of the primary reasons why I enjoy coming here. I wrote the article on the Lifestream, which has subsiquently been drasticly revised. This, however, is the nature of a wiki. I also contributed to the guide dog article; I have a guide dog named Lexie.
