Invest 94L is a tropical wave that formed off the coast of Africa. Formed in Senegal and the Guinea region, Invest 94L might become a hurricane and tropical storm. On October 12, 2024, Invest 94L’s chance of forming reduced from 50% to 20%[1]; and on October 13, 2024, It went from 20% to 10%, with a 30% chance of forming in a week.[2] As of October 17, it is currently above the Lesser Antilles, with a 30% chance of forming in 7 days.

Meteorological history

On October 4, 2024, the NHC started investigating the Cape Verde islands.[3] Soon, on October 10, a tropical wave in that area blew off the coast of Africa, near Senegal. Later that day, the tropical wave becomes Invest 94L.[4]
