TheAcoustica/Islander 3 disaster (mostly called Acoustica Disaster or Islander 3 disaster) was shuttle Acoustica and the Islander 3 spacecraft exploding 86 seconds after liftoff from the Islander Aeronautics Center in McCoy City, McI.
Liftoff
[edit]On April 14, 1983 (the 43rd anniversary of the bombing of Davidson Bay during World War 2 [April 14, 1940]), after many mechanical problems and a few weather delays, Acoustica, with Islander 3 launched.
The 86 Following Seconds
[edit]Acoustica was more than 6 miles above Earth, on the verge of reaching Jupiter, what the mission was mainly about. Then, it most likely crashed into the Moon and burst into flames. The rover in it was burnt to smitherines.
