Hello, I'm a regular user here on the English Wikipedia as well as on the [da.wikipedia.org Danish Wikipedia]. I'm sysop on 3+ [MediaWiki] installations used at documentation systems where I work. I use a lot of time writing a whole lot of documents, helping colleagues use the Wikis and to help myself learn more.

The most of my childhood I spend in Copenhagen, where I was born. I went on boarding school one year at Sydvestsjællands Ungdomsskole i Hårslev (S.U.H.) and two years at Jyderup Erhvervsrettede Grundskole (J.E.G), have been living 15 years in Slagelse, before moving back to Copenhagen.

While living in Slagelse I was educated service engineer of typewriters, copiers etc. in a local store in Slagelse and at Technical school in Viborg.

In 1985 I was employed at Regnecentralen reparing personal computers and Peripheral devices like Matrix printer, Daisy wheel printer, Laser printer and monitors.

In 1990 I was hired for 3 months at University of Copenhagen, but have been there 17 years so far.

Work

I am maintaining HPUX, Linux and Windows systems that provides support for HR system, Finance system, Electronic document management system, different mailsystems like Microsoft Exchange Server, Squirrelmail etc. for most of the university.

My Wiki experience

I got very excited about the Wiki-concept, after my son spoke so warmly about MediaWiki, that I made the suggestion to my colleagues that we started using MediaWiki as Server-, aplication- and database documentation system which lead to the installation of 4+ MediaWiki instances for different purposes.

But when I have some time left from all the other things I do, I will write some stubs here :-)

Spare time

I used to be using most of my off hours for Copenhagen Gospel Choir, where I helped with stage-, light- and sound equipment, kept track of the member registration, practice- and concert attendance, and all other odd work in the choir - Apart from singing of course. Am now a member of True Gospel Singers.

The Intranet system and CMS is now used for other purposes than for the choir.

I am also maintained the [www.cphgospel.com choir's website] Programming ASP og HTML using Notepad or other character based editor like Visual InterDev. I only rarely use a WYSIWYG editor because I want to have control over my code. Well Visual InterDev do provide WYSIWYG cababilities, but I don't use them. I use the editor because unlike Notepad, Visual InterDev provides coloured test coding.

Communication

I use several types if instant messaging clients to keep contact with family and friends around the world. I have several friends abroad. Among them is Windows Live Messenger, Skype, Google talk and Gismo Project for LJ Talk which is a XMPP messsenger integrated with my blog on Live Journal.
