Zooamerica [sic] marks the first time that Herhseypark has expanded outside the original 65 acres established when the park was redeveloped into a theme park in 1972.

In May 1994 Hersheypark opened Tidal Force, the world's tallest water plunge ride. With the opening of the new ride, supplied by OD Hopkins, Hersheypark expanded to 90 acres.
