Background Information
[edit]My name is Harsh. I am a lower junior at York College. City University of New York I am pursing a degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. Once I graduate in Spring of 2015 2014. I plan on pursing a master in I/O Psychology.
Dr. Ashton's I/O Psychology Class 253
[edit]I am currently enrolled in an I/O Psychology class with Dr. Ashton[1]. at York College, City University of New York. In order to get a more hands on experience of I/O Psychology we are focusing how to
- Create Pages
- Navigate around Wikipedia
- And basic markup editing
Throughout this assignment the objective to follow are as follows
- To learn I/O Psych content
- To develop writing skills
- To develop an understanding of crowdsourcing
- To reflect upon value of Wikipedia
- To reflect upon our ability to create knowledge
- To develop self-directed planning and follow up
This class has been and went beyond my exceptions and has made me even more certain that this is the career choice for me. Very eager excited to learn more from this class!!!!!! In addition in class we watched a video from youtube Why Wikipedians are the Weirdest People on the Internet[2] which discuses how editors wikipedians do on Wikipedia what they are called by society and more importantly many of them do it for there enjoyment and provide free volunteer service to others.
