Fort Bragg Unified School District is a publicly funded unified school district in Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, California. The District has 9 schools, with a total enrollment of 1,886 students in kindergarten through 12th grade, as of 2009-2010.[2]
Staff
[edit]In 2009-10, the District employed classroom teachers who filled the equivalent of 118.3 full-time positions, of which 79.6 were elementary and 38.7 secondary. Other staff included the full-time equivalent of 53.0 instructional aides, 3.0 district administrators, 7.0 school administators, 7.4 student support services, and 25.0 in other support services.[2]

[edit]For the 2009-2010 school year, 542 students (16.7%) were classified as English Language Learners and 140 students (4.3%) had Individualized Education Programs.[2]
The 2000 Census showed a total population under 18 in the attendance area of 3,253, of which 897 (27.6%) were Hispanic or Latino. The racial makeup was as follows—White alone: 2,451 (75.3%); Black or African American alone: 13 (0.4%); American Indian or Alaska Native alone: 70 (2.2%); Asian alone: 31 (1.0%); Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander alone: 2 (0.1%); Some other race alone: 469 (14.4%); Population of two or more races: 217 (6.7%).[2]
Fiscal
[edit]Budgeted revenues for FY 2009-10 were $25,511,000. The revenue per student was $13,246. Total current expenditures on instruction and operations were $19,176,000, or $9,956 per student.[2]
Schools
[edit]The District operates three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and four alternative schools, including one continuation high school. The District has no operating charter schools.[2]
