History Of Thuura Boys High School
[edit]The school started as a mixed day school, but later turned to a boys school due to a shortage of boys highschool's in the area.Other schools around include;Chugu boys,Munithu girls and Mulathankari girls.
Student Unrest
[edit]Around 2017 to 2018 the school experienced students Unrest,leading to strikes and burning of school dormitories.
"A fire destroyed a dormitory at Thuura Boys' High School in Meru County on Thursday night.
This was the
third dormitory to be razed at the institution in a suspected case of arson. One went up in flames
last Saturday.
Red Cross officers and county fire fighters went to the scene.
On Tuesday night, fire destroyed a dormitory each at Mukuiru Secondary in Igembe Central and Kisima Secondary in Buuri Sub-county in Meru.

were not immediately established."

Thuura Boys High School Category, and Student Enrolment Edit Thuura Boys High School is categorized by the Ministry of Education as County level Boarding Boys secondary school. The school enrolment is about 400 students.
