Regarding the declined submission of this article. The Norwegian version has 14 references, of which only one is to the company page. The reason why my English suggestion had 5 company links and 5 external links, was that most of the references is in Norwegian, while the company has a English domain. Would it be better to actually translate more of the Norwegian article and add more links, even if they are not references to English content? The references in the Norwegian article is mostly major news pages as the employees in the company are often interviewed by media. --Magnus Schaft (talk) 14:05, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

@Magnus Schaft:, Hello there, the guidelines of inclusion are different across Wikipedia. Some stuffs that can be accepted on Norwegian Wiki may not be accepted on English Wikipedia. You may add references in any language, there is no such restriction. Sources must be reliable and must show significant coverage. Please see WP:CORPDEPTH and add the references accordingly. You may also want to see WP:RS to know what sort of sources are accepted on English Wikipedia. Regards. Hitro talk 10:27, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Question re: notability/references

[edit]

Hello! You declined my article on Dollar Pickle records on the grounds of it not being notable enough/lacking sufficient media coverage. There is a article for Rusted Rail whom I would argue is of a similar caliber to Dollar Pickle, and based on the references in the article, has received even less media coverage than them.

The source I have added does a deep dive into the label and discusses it at a length.

Please let me know what you think. Hvala ;)

Savetheinternets (talk) 14:46, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

@Savetheinternets:, Hello there, there maybe many articles on English Wikipedia that should not exist. These articles may have never been properly reviewed by an experienced user. We do not accept or delete articles on Wikipedia on the basis of existence of other content. If you believe that Rusted Rail article is not meeting notability guidelines for companies then you should nominate it for deletion at WP:AfD.
Regarding Dollar Pickle draft, I am still not convinced that it has received significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable sources. Please see WP:NCOMPANY and let me know which criteria do you think that this topic meets. Regards. Hitro talk 10:48, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Intelligence Node Wikipedia Page

[edit]

Hi,

This is with respect to Intelligence Node draft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Intelligence_Node being declined by you yesterday. You have asked to mention why this company is notable. I would like to bring to your attention that we have followed all notability guidelines issued by wikipedia. The information mentioned can be verified from reliable sources such as The Economic Times ( which as per wikipedia itself, "As of 2012, it is the world's second-most widely read English-language business newspaper, after The Wall Street Journal") & TechCrunch ( according to wikipedia "TechCrunch is an American online newspaper focusing on high tech and startup companies.") and have several other reliable sources. We believe we have followed all notability rules of wikipedia. I would request you to review it again and share your feedback. TullikaInode1 (talk) 18:50, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

@TullikaInode1:, Hello there, sorry for my delayed response as I logged in after a week. It appears that this draft has been reviewed and declined multiple times by other reviewers. At this point of time, it is quite clear that the topic is not suitable for inclusion. Regards. Hitro talk 10:53, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Mike Gettis

[edit]

Hi. 2 months ago you declined this draft. You asked to add additional references in independent and reliable sources. I have scrubbed the promotional statements and have added reliable external news sources from various independent websites. The sources that I have added show significant coverage about Gettis. I request you to review it and leave your feedback. I also want to inform you that I have followed the COI guideline on my user page.

Thanks.

@Hintsjimmy: Thank you for declaring your connection. Presented sources appear reliable and the topic may be notable. I will look into this submission later this weekend. Regards. Hitro talk 11:02, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Draft Sándor Belák - reply to your review and rejection

[edit]

Dear HitroMilanese, many thanks for reviewing the Draft:Sándor_Belák article created by myself. Your comments are valuable and I am considering them. However, you wrote that "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified." Let me note that all references are to peer-reviewed scientific articles, which of course can be verified... this is the basis of any scientific publication all over the world. No scientific scripts can be published without verification and who else can do the verification better than the author's peers... so in this case I am respectfully objecting your criticism. Having said that, I understand that Wikipedia is not a scientific organ and I will rewrite the article and will refer to independent reliable sources according to Wikipedia rules. I also looked at some other notable scientists of Hungarian origin English Wikipedia articles, like Mihaly_Csikszentmihalyi or George Klein (biologist) for further reference. Thanks again for considering this article, I will submit a new, improved version soon. With kind regards --Fmasszi (talk) 07:26, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

@Fmasszi:, Dear Fmasszi, thank you for your message. I completely agree with you on your views regarding scientific publications. However, at English Wikipedia, the drafts are accepted or declined on the grounds of notability guidelines. For acceptance topic should meet WP:GNG or the profession specific guidelines, in this case it is WP:NPROF. Whatever claims are made within a Wikipedia article must be verifiable with independent and reliable sources. That is why I suggested you to use sources that are independent of the subject. Regards. Hitro talk 11:10, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
@HitroMilanese: Dear HitroMilanese, many thanks for your reply. I have considered your guidelines and restructured the article according to WP:NPROF. As far as I see it, the article is now fulfilling all 8 critera listed there. I also changed the chapter names in the article according to those criteria and added several further references about professor Belák at the end of the article written by independent sources. Furthermore I deleted all references to his own articles as I realized that this is not the forum for such references. However, the disciplines within he worked are still there, with appropriate links. Hopefully this rework now fulfills the criteria for approval. I resubmitted now this improved version. With kindest regards, --Fmasszi (talk) 19:49, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
@Fmasszi:, Dear Fmasszi, thank you for improving the draft. There are few issues like "excessive use of external links within the body of the article" and lack of inline citation. I will look into this within the next 2 days and try to fix these issues. Regards. Hitro talk 17:49, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
@HitroMilanese: Dear HitroMilanese, thank you very much for your attention to this matter. I went through the draft again and replaced the external links to internal English Wikipedia links wherever it was possible as far as I saw it. Furthermore, I added four more references from the public domain referring to Belak's projects, even in Italian and Swedish, and also a link to a YouTube video referring to Belak's invited talk (in English) on a scientific congress (of many). I also rewrote the Impact on higher education paragraph. Naturally it is up to your judgment to keep or discard these changes and the same with the links which are extensive I admit, but I wanted to give more "meet to the bones" when creating the text, you surely understand.

Thanks again and kind regards from --Fmasszi (talk) 10:39, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

@HitroMilanese:, Dear HitroMilanese, are there any developments concerning the Sandor Belak article? In your above reply note (about a month ago) you were talking about "next 2 days" or so.... is there anything more I can do? I understand the work load you sure have but couldn't we jointly do something together to get this issue out of the loop?

Kind regards, --Fmasszi (talk) 09:05, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

@Fmasszi:, Dear Fmasszi, I apologize for my delayed response, I was occupied in my work. I have edited the draft and made some improvements. I have removed all the external links from the body of the draft and added some references. Still, large portion of the draft is unsourced. I did some extensive research while making google searches yet I was not able to find references that may verify the claims made within the draft. Please add references inline to the sentences so that the claims may be verified. The subject is definitely meeting WP:NPROF but lack of references is keeping me from accepting this submission. Regards. Hitro talk 09:40, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
@HitroMilanese:, Dear HitroMilanese, thanks for your reply and your work. I would be very happy to find the sources to the claims you miss, only if I knew which specific claims? You wrote that you reworked the draft (removed all external links and added some references). May I see your version so I can try to improve it? I do not find it in the Contributions section, there is only my last correction from May 23rd. So - where is your version so I can have a look? Thanks for all your continued attention to this matter, kind regards --Fmasszi (talk) 18:26, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
@Fmasszi: Dear Fmasszi, I have edited the same draft at Draft:Sándor Belák. I guess you need to clear your browser history. The contribution history does reflect my edits. Regards. Hitro talk 09:47, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
@HitroMilanese:, Dear HitroMilanese, thanks, I see it now. I was looking at the wrong place.... I see that you miss the reference for the birthday and birthpalce, for that I have found an independent source from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences where professor Belák is listed as an outstanding researcher with a CV. What other claims are needed to be referenced? Would be a big help if I could see a list or something like that... I would do my best to fulfil the requirements. I am not a very experienced Wikipedia contributor, what I have principally done that I looked similar articles of scientists and tried to do the same. Sure it can be improved, thanks for all your help.

With kind regards --Fmasszi (talk) 10:03, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

@Fmasszi: Dear Fmasszi, as per the Wikipedia guideline for verifiability all the sentences and the paragraphs needs to be referenced to independent and reliable sources. No original research or unverifiable materials are accepted at English Wikipedia. Regards. Hitro talk 10:20, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
@HitroMilanese:, Dear HitroMilanese, thanks, I got it. Give me some days, right now I am in Norway, Oslo helping my daughter and her family (my grandchildren) to move to their new house... I will come back as soon as I can. With kind regards, --Fmasszi (talk) 10:28, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
@Fmasszi: Dear Fmasszi, take your time. Let me know when the draft is properly referenced. Best regards. Hitro talk 10:53, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Draft: BioFoodLab

[edit]

Hi Hitro! I have rewritten the text to sound more encyclopedic. I have also added sources. The Russian sources quoted (Kommersant, Vedomosti) are all major feature stories in leading business media. (These are not pay-for-play sources.) I have also included features from CNN and Entrepreneur (in-house correspondents), as well as Forbes (although the author was a contributor). This company does in fact happen to be the biggest in the healthy snacks segment in Russia, so I think it is worthy of an article. If you google the company's name, you will see it has just under 100,000 mentions. If you think my edit still needs work, please let me know. I have no relation to the company except for eating its products. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohannesburgBlues (talkcontribs) 15:05, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

@JohannesburgBlues:, Hello there, thank you for your contribution and improving the draft. I checked all the sources, I believe these sources are talking more about the founder, Elena Shifrina, and less about the company. Passing mentions and routine coverage are not enough to establish notability. I will leave this for another reviewer. Regards. Hitro talk 16:22, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

@Nomadicghumakkad:, Hello there, thank you for your effort. I have done some cleanups and accepted it. Regards. Hitro talk 16:55, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello HitroMilanese,

I have added a few more things to my Draft, Workiz. Could you please review them and see if it has become notable? It has references from leading industry magazine and leading Jerusalem publications, such as the well-known "TheMarker", which is part of the HaAretz network - a publicaiton in the list you shared with me that is highly regarded.

Thank you!

@Avivdc:, Hello there, please see WP:CORPDEPTH & WP:THREE and point out top 3 sources on the talk page of the draft where this business has received significant coverage. Also know that press releases, interviews, routine coverage of fundings etc. are not deemed as significant coverage. Regards. Hitro talk 07:58, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

I am not sock

[edit]

Hello ,today I saw your message on my talk page .I created an article by my own .You approved then again make it draft . Someone saying am sock!!What the hell. What is that itsyourimran?I don't even know him.And what proof do you need to proof me right?I wish you will move my article to article page again. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iqbal_Hossain_(Cricketer)

@Nurjahan212: You are possibly the sock of Itsyourimran. I have presented my evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Itsyourimran. In addition to that, I got more evidences which I am going to present on the investigation soon. Nurjahan212 and Itsyourimran both don't use wikilinks, rather they use the entire link. We generally link to an article like this- [[Iqbal Hossain (cricketer)]] but both the two users use the entire one like this- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iqbal_Hossain_(Cricketer). See- [1], [2] etc examples can be found on my talk page. And Itsyourimran and Nurjahan212 both use very long section titles for leaving messages on talk page.  A.A Prinon  Leave a dialogue 11:08, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Three References Review

[edit]

Hello HitroMilanese,

Please review my request here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft_talk:Workiz

I have put the three references I think are the best. Avivdc (talk) 21:23, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello there, I am leaving this for another reviewer as I am not fully convinced with the presented sources. Please submit the draft and wait for the review. Regards. Hitro talk 07:26, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

Articles for creation: Orson Rehearsed (February 14)

[edit]

Four reviews from international magazines have been added. More are forthcoming, as the film has only been recently released. Additionally, the composer has nearly a dozen other operas listed on Wikipedia -- this is one of them. Perhaps the cross-listing is somehow confusing? This is a "opera film," which means it functions both as a live, staged opera, and as a film. Hence the submission.

@Neil Erickson:, Thank you for your contribution. I have added one more source and accepted the submission. Regards. Hitro talk 10:10, 4 July 2021 (UTC)

Draft: My Beautiful Laundrette (EP)

[edit]

hi Hitro, so how can I get more additional resources, the EP is practically new and there aren't so many link resources

Draft: Faizan Arif

[edit]

Hi. a few days back you declined this draft (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Faizan_Arif). You asked to cite your sources using footnotes. I have completely done that. The sources that I have added show significant coverage about Faizan Arif. I request you to review it and leave your feedback and plese check if further correction is needed.

Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weatherforyou (talkcontribs) 06:24, 1 July 2021 (UTC)

@Weatherforyou: Hello there, presented references do show significant coverage but I am not sure whether they are reliable/reputable news agencies. See WP:RS. In order to demonstrate notability per WP:GNG, significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable sources are essential. I have done some cleanup but I will leave this for another reviewer. Can you give more specific details of how I can improve on the lead section of article summary that I currently have? What are things that need to be changed? Article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Ship_Brooklyn_Saints )

Isabel Ochone on Jerrold Mundis

[edit]

Hi. Thanks so much for getting to my draft page on Draft:Jerrold Mundis. (https://thereaderwiki.com/en/Draft:Jerrold_Mundis)

I understand your criticisms but I was wondering if we might discuss them a bit so I can understand how to improve the page. The two complaints you seem to have is that 1--that the subject is not notable and 2--that the cited sources are by the subject himself.

I believe the subject is very notable. As an author, his work was reviewed and mentioned by the New York Times for decades, the paper of record and he was interviewed on Fresh air with Terry Gross, a radio program on NPR that is celebrated as one of this country's most dependable sources of information. Also Mundis's books were featured on the Book of the Month Club which is not exactly an award but that position is reserved for only the most important authors. How can you not find such a person worthy of a Wikipedia article? Or can you tell me how my article fails to meet the test?

As for the sources, please note the main source is a Finding Aid Bowling Green University Libraries, an objective source. As for the articles on debt, history, and on other topics, I included them as they are to show that Mundis wrote in some of the most important venues that exist, i.e. The New York Times, including the New York Times Book Review, and he appeared in print by American Heritage Publishers Weekly article featured, for example, to give an example of his writing. He also has hundreds of listings in World Cat. which are cited. Did I do that correctly?

Can you please tell me what I might do to make this article publishable please? I also just added a recent article in a newsletter citing that Mundis helped thousands of people who mourn his loss. If there were to be a Wikipedia article, these numbers would only grow but a place to read about Mundis is needed. His own website has been closed down and no references to it were included. Please note that when living, Mundis had to adhere to the difficult position of being a humble man who respects the 12 Step credo of anonymity. Now that he is deceased, I am sure more people would be willing to cite his contributions as an expert in his field and as an author, but a place to read about him and collect information about him is needed.

Thanks.

Isabel

@Iochone: Hello Isabel, the main inclusion guidelines for an author at Wikipedia are WP:GNG and WP:NAUTHOR. Please check these guidelines and demonstrate notability accordingly. You may also want to check WP:RS to make yourself familiar with the kinds of sources that are acceptable at Wikipedia. Please make sure that all the claims made within the article must be verifiable with independent and reliable sources. It is not necessary but try to present sources which are accessible easily. Regards. Hitro talk 07:30, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
