Submarine (drink)
A Submarine is an alcoholic drink made from a mixture of tequila and beer. This drink is known for the preparation of the drink and the method of taking it. It is also known as a tequila bomb.
This drink involves a shot glass for the tequila and a bigger glass for the beer. The tequila is first poured into the shot glass (the amount of tequila depends on the person drinking). Then the bigger glass is placed over the shot glass, covering it like a dome, making sure that the top of the shot glass is flat on the bottom of the bigger glass. The bigger glass is then turned over, with the shot glass inside, the person preparing the drink should be making sure that the shot glass is facing down and the tequila still within the shot glass. After, the beer is poured into the bigger glass, keeping the shot glass with the tequila still in the middle of the glass. Lastly, right after removing the shot glass, when the tequila starts mix with the beer the drink is supposed to fully consume, otherwise known as to “down”, the drink.
Another method of preparing a Submarine is to have a glass filled with beer and a shot glass of tequila. Before drinking, the shot glass is quickly dropped bottom-first into the beer. This should be downed with the Submarine with the shot glass inside the bigger glass.
