Bulacan Highlanders Football Club
EMA Bulacan Highlanders Football Club, formerly known as Highlanders Football Club, is a Filipino amateur football club based in the province of Bulacan.
The club is a community-driven force dedicated to fostering development through sports. With a clear vision of promoting football, the club actively engages in community initiatives, aiming to instill the love for the game and contribute to the overall well-being of its members and the local populace.
History
[edit]Established in 2010 in a vacant lot within the Dolmar Golden Hills subdivision in Marilao, one of the high altitude places in the province, the club emerged from the determination of a group of young football enthusiasts who transformed their backyard into a makeshift field, complete with wooden goals and a humble nipa hut serving as their gathering spot.
In the early days, the club's vision was simple—to enjoy the sport and foster camaraderie among its members. However, a pivotal moment arose when the core players participated in a match outside their town, catching the attention of EMA Town Center, a development company in Meycauayan. Impressed by their skills and dedication, EMA Town Center offered the squad a new playing field, prompting the club's relocation to the city. This marked the beginning of a significant chapter in the Highlanders' history.
The team has garnered recognition and accolades, triumphing in competitions like the PUMA Cup, Mindoro Adriatico Cup, Bulacan Sunday United Football Tournament, and the Cancer Sucks Cup.
