A professional scientist, I joined in January 2006, and then gave up after my first article was largely deleted by a professional Wikipedian. After 5 years, I decided to try again, but remain sceptical of the fundamental Wikipedia policy of allowing almost anybody to anonymously "correct" the work of others.
