My degree is in history of Europe and History of the Jewish People, and teaching history.
I retired from teaching Western Civ. and the Holocaust course, after having taught for 20 years. I am passionated about this period.
I have: followed Eichman and Lipstadt lawsuits created a Holocaust course in my academic institution; it took me two years of bureaucracy and voting. I persisted, and the course passed at the 3rd vote. I also created an online course on the Holocaust.
reviewed Holocaust books proposals for Oxford and Yale University Presses: Bauer, Browning, Berenbaum, Longerich, Marrus, Paxton, Gilbert, Weinberg, Hilberg, Lipstadt, Dvork, Libowitz, Stone, Littell, Feinstein, Saul Friedlander (qui etait mon prof.), Poznanski, Elie Wiesel, Bergen, Katz ... (I don't think they remember mei!) - and still, I feel ignorant.
I know that I don't know, and it is still difficult for me to understand why the Holocaust happened.
visited Holocaust museums in: Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Tucson, Washington, Londres, Jerusalem, Allemagne, Afrique du Sud, Pologne, ...
Je strongly believe in the importance of learning about the Holocaust;
I will be grateful if somebody help me with using wikipedia.
Thank you for your attention.
