Vrielink, Nico Painter. Born in 1958, Reusel the Netherlands. He started his education at the academy of the fine arts in Arendonk, Belgium. Finishing his studies at the academy of fine arts in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
His work focuses on traditional artwork, being renowned for painted portraits with oil on canvas as his preferred medium. When portraying woman, for the most part his former wife Jeane, his work can be described as slightly suggestive with an erotic feel, often set in an Asian romantic atmosphere. As a painter he shows extreme eye for detail, presenting a dreamy quality of the image, using deep and warm colors and working with light as his main ingredient.
His painting style has varied over the years. From neoclassical, representational figurative, realism and linear poster and pop art. As a prolific painter, spanning a period of almost 25 years, the amount of work succeeds more than 5,500 paintings, coal drawings and acrylics, with over 500 exposition in galleries all over the world one of the Netherlands best known painters.
