A modelling career has many facets and boundaries and so much to look at even before the enthusiast can consider having a career. What makes this type industry a high demand job even with little chances of becoming a high fashion model are within the person itself? Lets take a look at what I found in my short research project for my classes to graduate.

There are many types of models that one couldn't even begin to think or talk of them all unless you are having that conversation with someone who is in the business or knows someone who is. There is a deep connection and when they say you have to know someone to really be able to get into the business with a probability of getting gigs, they are telling the truth. Some models are just born into that model family, but for those who are not , they may want to look at all the types that could help them to get started into another high paying career or that one job that can land the aspiring model into fame and fortune.

The hip-hop model are the ones we see in music videos, the video vixens as they are referred to, actors,singers, dancers, the professional model and of course the various different cultures of the people we all see daily are usually dressed like someone you would either like to know or someone you wouldn't. Perhaps one you'd like to be yourself, such as I.

The ring girl is the one who is normally involved in a combat sport such as boxing, martial arts, and kickboxing. They carry the sign that is displaying the next round up-coming. The Instagram Model is probably more viewed that most others because of the world we now live in. Internet marketing is extremely profitable in many many ways, has taken over the type ways we used to view certain models. These models are not professional and have at times been compared to covert prostitutes online. They are influencing marketers for others with products to sell also called brand ambassadors. They are unassigned as in related to an agency.They are not established as professional, however they could be working on their comp card which is a completion card much like a resume. The highly-sought runway model are the ones out there very thin , tall and what is considered perfect bodies etc.. Magazine, commercial print, plus-size and curvy, Black,fit as in (fitting model, live mannequins). glamour, alternative, parts ( like hands or feet), Body,petite, fitness and figure, gravure idols,or magazine, men's magazines,photo books, or DVDs, commercial print, on - camera, and promotional( interactive with customers like at a car show). Spokes models, trade- shows, atmosphere( like at events ), podium, ( like mannequin - art )and mature model.

The history of the model began in 1863,by Charles Frederick Worth. He is considered the 'father of haute couture'or 'house model'. In the 1930's the model was still known as the'mannequin', after coming to the United States from France. The first supermodel was named Evelyn Nesbit from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the Gilded Age period.

In the 1960's , modelling agencies began to come about. The models were responsible their own billing or bookings, not the agency or agents, They did very little travel in comparison to today, if any at all.While getting paid in cash, they had to hide it from the custom agents. Hotels were home and these models were also raided by authorities for having work visas or the lack thereof.

London at that time was considered to be the best market in Europe because they were more innovative and organised. The modelling world is huge and will continue to be because there will always be a demand for dressing the body, purchases of items, fashion week in various cities around the world with the designers and their new seasonal collections. Almost everything seen has a model in it. Some models go on to becoming actors, or dancers. Some are content in the model world and do well for themselves.
