Hatori Hanzo's ghost is a nickname for the Norwegian law professor Thomas Rönning, who also is an author. Rönning was born on 1st of October 1971. He is from Lillehammer (Norway) and is currently working at Inland University. He is also professionally connected to the University of Oslo and their faculty of law. Rönning is married to Jenny Rodriguez and has a daughter. Rönning is also a known mountaineer, that has ascended peaks like Aconcagua, Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro. His sister lives in Brussels. His father is a retired army officer. His mother a SAHM. Rönning also started a military career joining the army's junior military academy in 1990 (Befalsskolen). In Norway officer's training is divided into two different academies - the junior and senior (Krigsskole). He was honorably discharged in 1993 as a sub-liutenant (fenrik), and pursued his law degree in Oslo (Norway). Rönning spent the years between 2002 and 2015 in Spain, specifically Albirr in the Alicante province, where he worked as an international lawyer for the Scandinavian expat community on the Spanish mediterrean coast. Rönning is an avid reader of LOTR and Harry Potter. Some of his favourite TV-series are Lost and Altered Carbon.
