1) Find an article that does not seem notable. For sports, see https://bambots.brucemyers.com/cwb/bycat/Sports.html#Notability%20unclear Many other categories exist - ask me for help if you want to find one related to your interests or hobbies.

This page is long and it can take a while to load. If you scroll too quickly, or ff you use a mobile device, it may not auto-navigate to the correct section in the big list of errors (the one we want is "notability unclear")
At the top of the article you should see this template: {{Notability}}. It will look like the example below. If there is no such template, it means you did not locate the right section/article - try again or ask me for help.

2) You can comment on ongoing deletion discussions. See for example: Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/China, Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Korea, Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Video games, Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Sports, etc. Your comment should link to one of more relevant guidelines, like WP:Notability (video games) .

For an example of a good deletion discussion, with good rationale and comments, see for example Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dellor (about a YouTuber).

3) Carry out the steps explained here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:BEFORE . If you think the topic is notable (important), make a comment on the article’s talk page explaining why you think so and show it to me. You should link to one or more relevant policies or guidelines. For example, if you are commenting on video games, you should link to WP:Notability (video games) essay. How to find a relevant notability guideline? See the lists at Category:Wikipedia notability guidelines as well as Category:WikiProject notability advice. If you cannot find a relevant guideline, ask me for help. Common deletion guidelines you may want to know are, for example: Wikipedia:Notability (people), Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), Wikipedia:Notability (web), Wikipedia:Notability (music) - but many other exist, and you should link the relevant one and explain why the article fails to meet it.

4) If you think the article is not notable, start a deletion discussion. To do so, enable the Twinkle gadget. How to install Twinkle, read the 'Getting started' section at Twinkle page. Then go to the article you want to delete. You should see the "TW" pull-down menu in the top right. Click "XFD". Fill in the form. The bottom part is where you paste in your rationale. The top pull down menus are for categories (tags). For example, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dellor was added to deletion sorting categories for People, Video games, Internet and Canada. If you nominate a topic related to Korea or China, you will obviously be adding a tag for Korea or China, as appopriate. Another should describe the entity - is it a company? Person? Game? Song? Etc.

Show me your deletion proposal before publishing it. In your deletion rationale, you should

1) explain how you carried out the steps explained here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:BEFORE - how and where did you look for sources that may show this topic as important?

2) clearly explain your reasons for why the article should be deleted, and mention how it fails the relevant deletion guideline or guidelines. You should make sure to link to said guideline. For example, your nomination could say that "This article should be deleted because it has no sources and therefore it fails Wikipedia:Verifiability" or "This article about a video game fails Wikipedia:Notability (video games) because it has sources outside press releases and the game's social media and other promotional material". For other examples of well-written deletion rationales, see examples listed above in this activity.

5) Review examples above. Read them and consider the comments by other editors. What do experienced Wikipedians (collective intelligence agents) say about our suggestions? Do they agree with our proposals? Why – or why not? What can we do better?
