Although still a Novice Editor, Hamaxides has begun to encourage staff at the library at which he works to edit and to contribute to Wikimedia projects. The staff has been adding External Links to appropriate articles to allow readers of Wikipedia to more easily find digital resources from the library related to their topic of interest.
Hamaxides attended WikiConference North America 2018 on Saturday, October 20, in Columbus, Ohio. He found it both an inspiring and overwhelming experience but gained valuable information to share with co-workers. He also took it as an incentive to stop and photograph the Indianola Junior High School in Columbus, subsequently uploading the images to Wikimedia Commons and expanding the article on the historic school building.

[edit]I, Hamaxides, am currently an employee of Cleveland Public Library, a cultural institution per WP:GLAM. I accept the editing conditions specified at that page. I will not make edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikimedia.
My main edits tend to consist of the following activities:
- Adding authoritative citations and digital assets to improve the quality of existing Wikimedia platforms.
- Updating project pages related to Cleveland Public Library, Cleveland, Ohio, and the state of Ohio in general. These edits will be factual and based on verifiable references and will not be promotional in nature.
I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikimedia guidelines. I ask that other editors contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration. I appreciate all those helping me with my contributions.
