It's target will be Regius Professor of Astronomy (Edinburgh) which links from general Regius professor page. Note that there is also a Glasgow chair, which is simply called "Regius Professor of Astronomy" which is badly misleading. Can it renamed?

Normal style is for main text to be all WP-linked. External links are grouped into a separate section. External links considered citations are usually given footnote numbers with ^[1] ; these are autocollected with

or at end.

How do you deal with repeat citations? ahh.. use ^[1] and then ^[1].
