Boschendal and Rhodes Fruit Farms history dates back to 1812 and its history is well documented. Having evaluated current relevant Wikipedia articles and information, the information provided for inclusion into and the creation of new relevant Wikipedia articles, has been prepared and approved by respected historian and Boschendal Museum Curator (since 1997) - Marianne Gertenbach (more info on Marianne below),

The final source for the compiled documents for Wikipedia inclusion has been the Boschendal Silver Book “Boschendal 2007” ISBN 9780620380010, published by Boschendal Limited 2007, in the interests of documenting and preserving the history and heritage surrounding the estate. It is a result of an extensive project headed by Marianne Gertenbach, in conjunction with Cape Town and Stellenbosch Universities. It is a compilation of historical information from a variety of sources, includes original documents files images and records from the Boschendal Museum Library and Archives and Cape Town and Stellenbosch Universities.

There are a number of registered National Monuments on Boschendal as well as several recognised historical sites.

I know it is long winded but please can you let me know how much of this information should I place and where should I place it with regards to Wikipedia articles being updated and created pertaining to Boschendal?

Here's some advice for what you want to put: Whatever you put, make sure it's put so it doesn't say exactly what the book says (put it in your own words), and do not put opinions on the article. Hopefully that helps a bit. --Ha dg er 00:37, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Can I place something in a Notes section, what should I place, to what should I reference it and how?

Well, you can use google and search "Boschendal" to find sources. Make sure none of the sites you use as sources are blogs or wikis. --Ha dg er 00:37, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

I have also made further fine adjustments to the Boschendal Wikipedia article and will continue to strive for perfection in this project to put Boschendal and its history on to Wikipedia.

Information about Boschendal Curator Marianne Gertenbach

Marian Gertenbach has been the Boschendal Historian, Curator and Librarian since 1997 (to date). She has a BA Honours degree in History from Stellenbosch University.
