Fran Shatone Brooks known as Shon Brooks is credited as being the #1 top achiever in the world in financial services. Shon is well remembered for creating the curriculum for the NTSAA Educational Institute which is now called the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. The two designations are called, CRS (Certified Retirement Specialist) and (MCRS) Master Certified Retirement Specialist, for financial planning advisors. Shon Brooks created the exam questions for the Course 1 Study Guide, (The Basics of 403(b) plans). He is the owner of Brooks Financial & Entertainment Consultants and is best known for writing, producing, and hosting the S.O.B television show. Shon Brooks is a native of San Diego, California.
Career
In 1993, Brooks wrote, produced, and hosted a half-hour show called “Making a Difference” endorsed by the United States Olympic Committee. Shon Brooks is an award winning writer, director, producer and host. Shon is the winner of the 1996 Del Mar Fair Video Expo Show for Editorial Excellence. Otto Steffers, field hockey player, of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games was the interviewed by Shon Brooks where the show won this acclaimed award presented by Time Warner.
In 2003, Shon was the creator, writer, producer and host of the half-hour talk show titled, “S.O.B”. The show was developed to empower our youth to take control of their lives. The show has been endorsed and promoted with the NFL,NBA,TNT (TV channel),TBS (U.S. TV channel), and ESPN. S.O.B was distributed by ABC and is currently distributed by Cox Communications. On April 1, 2003 the “S.O.B” television show was presented to the public by the National Cinema Network (NCN). A Multi-Media contract was executed to preview and promote the “S.O.B” show in movie theaters through the year 2005. Shon Brooks is the registered trademark owner of the S.O.B television show (Reg No. 3,310,233). The television show features Don King (boxing promoter) and Thomas Mikal Ford (actor) in a positive way of encouraging and empowering youth to better their lives.
Shon is regarded as the financial planner for the celebrities, jackpot/lottery winners, and for striving individuals.
Shon Brooks BSBA, ASM is well known as the Super Financial Agent. Shon never was a sophomore in high school; he skipped from the 9th to the 11th grade at Sweetwater High School (National City, California).
Shon Brooks received a Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT) award in 2004. Brooks is also member of Stanford’s Who’s Who (2010).
Shon is the author and founder of the notorious (CRS) Certified Retirement Specialist Degree and the (MCRS) Master Certified Retirement Specialist Degree. This two hour examination for each course is based only for the text and study guide. Each exam is given in or near your community. This 10 week curriculum is a designation exclusive for retirement specialist.
Shon Brooks launched his online clothing line called, “Fran Shatone” in 2006 specializing in men’s suits and ladies lingerie. Shon is a philanthropist who donated over 3,000 books, magazines, calculators, and posters to the San Diego Unified School District to revive financial literacy for the youth. In addition, Shon Brooks has financially inspired video games that are set to be released for the San Diego Unified School District.
Shon Brooks’ interview with Don King (boxing promoter), continues to gain phenomenal exposure has attracted International Television Network, and for example, has been broadcast in such foreign countries as Pakistan. Pakistan, a country in South Asia with approximately 170 million people, airs the S.O.B television show for insight on Entertainment and Financial Literacy. Recently, a multi-media contract was executed with NCM National CineMedia to preview and promote the show in movie theaters through the year 2011.
