These people were mainly farmers, and worker class people, following a mass uneducated hypnosis ideology, blaming the entire country of India for a localized incidence . This wave of immigrants mostly absorbed laborious class jobs like construction, Cab drivers, truck drivers etc. They effectively never amalgamated with the Canadian culture and stayed in own groups, circles , creating a mini Punjab in Canada , bringing in the same fractured society as they had in Punjab.

a 3rd and 4th wave of immigrants from other parts of India happened in 1990s, & 2000 after the improving of the Canadian Immigration policies and opportunities in Winnipeg, They mostly came in via the Canadian federal Immigration intakes, higher education students, dependents , high skilled workers categories etc.
