Purpose
[edit]The purpose of this bot is to look through all the rename requests at WP:CHU and WP:USURP and compare the name to the rename log to see if the user has been renamed in the past. The rename history is reported in the form newest ← newer ← new ← old ← oldest within the heading of each request.
Technical
[edit]This bot is written in perl and uses the MediaWiki.pm module to access Wikipedia. This bot will run full time in a fully automated fashion. It will read only new entries to the rename log every 20 minutes, and scan for unprocessed entries and write as needed on each target page every 2 minutes.
