Mattersburg Cultural Centre
The Mattersburg cultural center is a building in the style of brutalism, which was built in the years 1973 to 1976. The building is partially under monument protection.
Description
[edit]The cultural center Mattersburg is part of an urban ensemble, which includes a secondary school and sports hall. The buildings were originally accessed via a staircase that embeds the hillside property in an artistically designed concrete landscape. In the original concept, the cultural center included a function hall for 550 people, seminar and club rooms, a foyer with a buffet, an institute for political education, a youth center and a sauna and fitness area.
