Jasdev Singh was born on 20th February, 1938.(Died 18th November, 1982). He was a Sikh politician in the Indian state of Punjab. He worked for the Akali Dal party and served as a agriculture minister of Punjab.

His father’s name was Jagat Singh and mother’s Kartar Kaur.

His wife’s name was Satwinder Kaur. He had four children, names Gurtej Pal Singh Buwal, Amanjot Kaur, Navjyot Kaur and Amartej Pal Singh Buwal.

He served as the agriculture minister of Punjab for approximately 11 months.

He studied in Malwa Khalsa High School. Later graduated from G.G.N Khalsa College. Both being in Ludhiana.

He spoke four languages fluently, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and English.

He currently has five grandchildren.
