The Guiding Lights is a show that follows the life of 9 girls and how they were all born on their own respected planets. There are 4 inner guardians and 4 outer guardians. They are the guardians of Clover, which is their princess who was born on Bandore. 12 years ago on a beautiful planet named Bandore; there lived a very powerful family. But one day the kingdom and planet were under attack by the dark universe. Jessica the Queen of Bandore and her 4 advisors were the only ones who were not taken by the dark forces. Jessica had enough power to send everyone including herself to a new future on Earth. She used her crystal but the sacrifice she made took away all her powers and left her powerless. While on Earth Jessica's daughter and the other guardians never remembered what happened. Jessica’s 4 advisors promised that if evil forces came back they would find the guardians and the princess and help them regain their powers and memory. Jessica knew that there would come a day where her daughter would find out everything. That day has come. Now Clover and the girls are 15 and they still haven’t met each other or found out about their powers. The first people Clover meets are Cody and Tricia. Clover and Tricia start off on the wrong side. But they then become good friends. During the first season they meet the other inner guardians and fight evil one by one.

Conflicts: Clover and the girl’s basic conflicts are defeating all evil and sending every evil person back to the dark universe. Also finding the other guardians and restoring peace back into the universe. They also have to go to the dark universe to save Clover’s older sister Angel (that doesn’t happen until the 5th season)

Characters: Clover: Clover’s full name is Clover Ann Baldwin and her powers are all the powers that exist. She was also born on Bandore. Her weakness is that she hasn’t unlocked her powers full potential. Clover is a generous, honest, noble hearted and calm person who seeks a solution for everything. She can be found not to give up no matter what the consequences are. She is a born leader and loves to get the job done. She see's the good in everyone and see's everyone in equal matter. Clover is described by most, as a whiny, cry-baby, who is very irresponsible. She is the truest friend anyone could ever ask for, and although she may let on otherwise is a very bright individual. Through the seasons you see that she does mature into more of what a princess is like. Clover possesses the crystal of which she inherited from her mother, Queen Jessica.

Cody: Cody’s full name is Cody Lee Wyatt. Her power is fire, and she was born on the planet Ember. Her weakness is that she can get pretty moody. Cody is fabulous in every way, shape, and form. She is beautiful, smart and has the body to go with it. She is confident and has great leadership skills. She is moody, energetic, and very trustful. Ember is a part of the Light Millennium Alliance. Cody has some psychic abilities that at times make her somewhat of a lonely outcast. Cody's best friends are Clover and Lorie, even though they sometimes will give you the impression that they don't get along. Lorie's and Cody's personalities are very different. You may get the impression that Cody is mean to Clover, but really she's just cares about her and is trying to keep Clover's ways in check. Cody is the 1st in command of the Inner Guardians. Cody is undoubtedly one of the most trustworthy guardians.

Lorie: Lorie full name is Lorie May Venus and her power is Love and Beauty. She was born on Levine and her weakness is that she is really lazy at times. Lorie is the one who thinks about herself, but not always Lorie will also put her life on the line to save her friends. Lorie is selfish, funny, spontaneous, and fashionable. Lorie is the prettiest of her friend and sometimes might act like a dumb blonde but she's far from dumb. She hates to get dirty and messy, but loves to kick bad guy booty. Lorie's duties are to be 2nd in command of the Guiding Lights. Lorie is sometimes silly, likes to have fun, slacks off on responsibilities and is very much boy crazy. Lorie is one of the more powerful inner guardians. Being the Guardian of love matches Lorie's personality because she has special abilities to knowing and recognizing love. When people love each other, usually Lorie will know a long time before anyone else.

Tricia: Tricia’s full name is Tricia Vikki Lombarda, her power’s are Earth, she was born on Lanara and her weakness is when someone ruins the environment. Tricia is the one who is the sportiest. She like making new friends but she never had many friends so it took her a long time to get used to Clover and the others. Tricia loves to dance and she loves sports. Tricia is a tomboy, and she loves to cook. Tricia is very protective of Clover and the rest of her friends. Of all the guardians she would be the first to kick someone's butt because they said something wrong, or hurt someone's feelings. She cares a lot about Clover, not just because she's supposed to protect her, but because Clover saw the good in her when no one else did. Tricia is third in command, after Clover. Tricia is physically the strongest of the inner guardians. Tricia will always be the first to bust open a door, attack an enemy and kick someone's butt if she felt they were out of line.

Amy: Amy’s full name is Amy Marie Daniels, her power is water, she was born on the planet Waves, and her weakness is that she will be wrong or not know what to do. Amy is calm and quite clever. She knows when to use her brains and that in the most harsh or dangerous moments. She is the orderly and rational type. She will always use logic to solve problems. She is really unselfish and very affectionate with her friends. She is a genius and she spends most of her free time studying. Her dream is to become a medical doctor. She is somewhat of a loner due to her love for knowledge. Amy is the last in command of the inner guardians. She uses a compact computer/scanner to track down enemies, and find ways out of other dimensions.

Jasmine: Jasmine’s full name is Jasmine Irene Mitchell. Her power is Metal and she was born on Metallica. She is a very shy individual. Jasmine is calmest of the girls and is in control in all situations. She is an honest girl and will never copy or cheat on a test. She knows when to be brave and she knows never to give up especially on her friends. Jasmine is very sweet, diligent, smart and very cautious. She's a great student but not ambitious. During the Millennium, Jasmine spent her time on Metallica, unlike the inner guardians whom lived on Bandore; the outer guardians remained on their planets, in order to protect the outer regions of the universe. Jasmine's first appearance was in the third season. She also has a special power that allows her to heal people. She is also the leader of the outer guardians.

Liberty: Liberty’s full name is Liberty Jane Foster. Her power is Air and she was born on the planet Oxin. Liberty is the second in command of the outer guardians. She has an aggressive and cold nature, so she can be extremely tough and heartless in hard situations. She is the guardian of the sky. At first she might be mean to you, but all she need’s is too get to know you more.

Michelle: Michelle’s full name is Michelle Cleo Banks, her power is electricity and she was born on Electro. She is very rich and is a very talented musician, artist and swimmer. She enjoys playing the violin and even performs in concerts. Michelle is the guardian of Electricity. She is third in command of the outer guardians.

Nadia: Nadia’s full name is Nadia Jade Connicova, her power’s are the sun and moon, and she was born on the planet Solarin. She is seen with Liberty and Michelle. She is very smart, and also designs her own clothes. She's very mysterious because she knows so much about Clover and the girls. This is because she is not only the guardian of the sun and moon but later after Jasmine she guards the Time Gate. She is a very powerful soldier. She has the ability to travel through time, stop time, and alter time itself.

Jesse: Jesse was actually the first to meet Clover and he knew right when he met her there was something wonderful about her. He fell for her right then and their. Yeah I guess you could say love at first sight. Jesse is also Cody’s twin brother.

Daniel: Daniel has been Jesse's friend since they were 8. He had a crush on Cody in the first season but she told him that she only thought of him as a friend. He moved on in the second season with one of the girl’s classmate, Alice. He’s your basic guy loves to play sports and loves to play video games. He is also a skilled skateboarder.

Adam Lombarda: You may have noticed that his last name is similar to Tricia's. Yes, he's her father. He is actually they first guy the girls have to deal with in the first couple of episodes. He was set on world domination, and to do so he needed a famous, talented scientist/inventor to help him build a machine to get his world domination. So that's where Clover's father comes in. Adam captured Wilfred and held him captive until he agreed to do his dirty work. Wilfred did not agree and Adam said if he didn't he would be terminated. Clover and Cody rescued Wilfred and got a good taste of the adventure that was in store for them.

Queen Nehelenia: She is one another one the girls have to fight. Instead of world domination, she wants to rule the entire universe. Clover and her friends go into a major battle and see exactly how dangerous this adventure is going to be.

Anicka and Justin: These two are Nehelenia's minions. They only meet 4 of the girls not knowing there are five. When they do meet them, Lorie was somewhere doing business so she was unable to help the girls. But someone comes and rescues the girls.

Normy, Dormy, Stormy, and Aramy: These 4 are witches that the girls meet. Normy, Dormy and Stormy are triplets while Aramy is their younger sister. Normy is the leader and the oldest. Aramy isn't as evil as her sisters and later on in the second season she joins the girls and help them defeat her sisters.

Radius: He was the one who destroyed Bandore. When he found out the ultimate power was in the magical dimension he jumped at the offer to try and find where it was. He never knew it was in Clover, actually he never even knew she was the princess of Bandore. He finds out later one in the second season and he makes her extremely powerless by taking away the things most important to her, her boy-friend and friends. He tells her that without the special bond she has with them she is powerless.

Cedric: He is the evil from the third season. He was actually the last person to see Angel, Clover's sister. But she doesn't know that. He also comes back in the fourth season and he finally tells her about her sister.
