Welcome to my sandbox. Here I will practice editing and citing so that I can become a skilled Wikipedian. I want to know enough, at least, to host an Edit-a-Thon event at the university, where I am a librarian. First step is to insert a citation.

As author Astra Taylor's[1] states: one must practice "taking back power and culture in the digital age.[2]" The Internet should be, as Taylor's book title states, "The People's Platform."[3]

The gender gap on Wikipedia takes many forms. One major problem for equality, is that only less than 15% of contributors to Wikipedia are women.[4]

Gsartlibrarian (GS) is a librarian who has just started editing on Wikipedia. GS works as a librarian, so has some good credibility, but is not infallible. Please be patient as GS works slowly and carefully.

There are several good resources for holding my event. Art + Feminism has some guides to help out.[5]
